Well, winter is finally here. I've just finished scoring the film, "Solveig", for Kiersten Chace and Monde' World Films, pretty excited about that.

  My trio is performing every Friday and Saturday evening at the Damico Kitchen restaurant in the Meridien Hotel, located in downtown Minneapolis.

Currently working with Matthew Zimmerman at Wildsound Recording and Media production studio.

My trio will be starting back up at the Meridien Chambers Hotel in the downstairs Damico Kitchen restaurant. 

Really a great setting, Me, Gordy Johnson and Phil Hey will be playing my originals and jazz standards. You have to 

check the place out. There's no cover. Free live jazz in the heart of downtown Minneapolis.

I was on the Kare 11 Today show today, it went really well. I come outside to a beautiful day. 87 Degrees in October, I'll take it. 

  I'm heading off to Portland this Saturday, so I'll be missing my Marsh performance this week, but I'll be back one the 15th. Mary Louise Knutson will be at the keys this Saturday.

I'll be in Portland visiting my brother Henry(cornetist extraordinair. Looking forward to it.

I'll be appearing on the Kare 11 Today show on October 5th at 11 am. I'll be talking about my steady solo

gig at The Marsh (5-7) on most Saturdays, and performing some of my original music.

I'm currently composing and arranging my next music project, which will be a collection of all original

music. 

I'm also excited to start up my winter trio performances at the Meridien Chambers Hotel, Damico Kitchen.

Lot's of exciting things happening, including an amazing fall so far.

Wow, what a long winter. I'll be kettlebelling all summer to work off the great food and wine on our Damico Kitchen gig. I'm currently constructing a new alternate website which I'll put into the links page soon.

  Also finishing up Rick Noland's 12 on 12 project. It's sounds great.

Our(me, Gordy Johnson, Phil Hey) trio gig is finished for the summer season, so you'll probably be able to hear us out and about at other venues, parties, events, etc.

Wow, 2010 came and went. I'm excited to start another year. First, I'll be performing New Years Eve at the Damico Kitchen in the downstairs of the Meridien Chambers Hotel for their new years welcome.

   Then next thursday I'll be at the Dakota Jazz Club with my 2 buddies, Phil Hey and Gordon Johnson.

   I'm currently working on some film projects, and CD releases that I'm producing for some friends. I had a great Christmas. I got a new adjustable piano chair! Really nice!

  I picked up a few other items that I'll probably be mentioning in future updates. Right now I'm enjoying a Salty Dog chocolate bar. Mmmm, Mmmm.

What a beautiful fall we're having. I've been enjoying my apples.

My trio is gearing up for our weekly shows at the Damico Kitchen, located in the lower lever of the modern Chambers Meridien Hotel.

The Marsh happy hour has been really fun, it's a great relaxing environment and very casual with great food, wine, etc.

I'm glad summer is here. I'm working on my next CD/download release. I wonder what we'll call it when cd's are obsolete. I've always called them albums anyway. It's always been a collection of songs, so calling it an album seems right. If I said record, that's not totally correct, but it would be a recording, so, hmmm maybe that's the way to go. I'm not sure. 

  We've never said my next LP, or vinyl. Either way, I'm fine tuning my next bunch of songs/pieces, whatever.

I had the pleasure of working with Grammy winner David Darling recently. What an amazing guy! He won this years Grammy for best new age album. Check out his release, "Prayer for Compassion". It's beautiful.

  Finally. I'm currently composing new music for my next CD/Download release of mostly original music. I hope to have it finished by the end of August. Check back for updates. 

  The indie film, "Tamie Tuschi's Toys", I worked on with Melody Gilbert and Kierstan Chace is one of the finalists in the Doc Challenge competition. It was a pleasure working with such successful film makers.

     The trio at the Chambers Hotel is really sounding good. I highly recommend coming down and checking it out.

It's usually Gordy Johnson on bass, me on piano, and Phil Hey, Alden Ikeda, or JT Bates on drums. 

Friday nights we have Marc Anderson on his hybrid percussion kit.

The food is great, the wine is excellent.

I'm also in the middle of producing the second Arkanauts CD for Wild Bill. It is really sounding great. Some incredible performances. Look for it around late November.

My favorite time of year. I'll be performing at the apple orchard, and enjoying some beautiful walks on the trail.

The feature film that I scored last year will be releases on DVD and iTunes on Aug.13.

We had a great time at the Three Crows show in Delano.
It was a nice crowd of listeners. We're hoping to perform there again soon.

After playing at this amazing venue for 22 years, they're closing down.
It's been an amazing gig to say the least.

It was a swinging session at Damico Cucina for New Years' Eve.
We had an amazing turnout. The band sounded terrific.
A conga line erupted about 11:30, and lasted a good 10 minutes. A really great time was had by all.

I've just delivered the master for my forthcoming release, "for friends and lovers".
It should be available in about 3 weeks. I'm excited, it's a nice collection of ballads, that can all be enjoyed for Valentines' day, and other intimate gatherings.
I'm also composing music for some films by a New York filmmaker.

I woke up to 18 degrees today. A little nippy.
I'm currently working on a few recording projects, and scoring some short films.
I'm recording a cd of standard ballads from the 1950's and 60's.
The Wild Bill release turned out great and is for sale at www.arketis.com.

My favorite time of year. I'm currently working on my forthcoming release, "For Friends And Lovers".
It will be released in January 2009.
I will also be scoring a mystery feature with a New York film maker to be released next year as well. (more info to come)
